“Aakash” Tablet: Cheapest Tablet in the World

The tablet will be available commercially from November at a price of Rs 2999 as it is claimed to be cheapest till now in the tablet market.  This include an additional feature of a cellular modem in the commercial model. 

It has Wi-Fi connectivity and includes a stereo earphones and microphone, additional external memory up to 32 GB and an USB port for supporting external storage devices all in one comes with 1 year replacement warranty.  Additional accessory in this model is a keyboard portfolio case at a cost of INRs. 300 (value offered in the launch).
